    Post-concert Pleasures (#2)

    Image description
We flew out of town the day after the concert (a pleasure trip), and returned a few days ago to finish the clean-up (an activity that generally falls somewhere below the pleasure line). So this is the first chance we've had to update the site.

But what a terrific concert! Eve is such an outstanding singer, and Marc is just immensely talented. And such great songs!

One of the big post-concert pleasures for us is hearing from folks who attended. This time, from J&K:

Eve and Mark's concert was fantastic! The sound system, lighting, seating, and every last detail was handled perfectly. We'd like to thank you for opening your beautiful home to us for the evening and for all of the hard work you obviously put into the preparations and refreshments. We hope to have an opportunity to do it again!Cathy managed to get a few photos during the concert (go to the Gallery to see these), and a very short (35-second) video:
Looking forward to seeing you all at the next concert. Stay tuned!

Special concert: Eve Selis and Marc "Twang" Intravaia, August 16, 2008

    Image description
We had hoped to be able to have Eve Selis at frogstop, and our hopes have been exceeded. On Saturday, August 16, frogstop  presents a very special show: Eve Selis and Marc "Twang" Intravaia (Eve's songwriting partner since the early 90's) will offer an intimate evening concert. We love the full band and will go to see them again and again, but we think this is a rare opportunity to hear these outstanding artists perform as a duo.

A gifted songwriter and electrifying performer, Eve Selis is well-known both to the San Diego music scene and to those lucky enough to have seen her on tour. Her voice is regularly lauded by critics as nothing short of a masterpiece: passionate, melodic, raspy and sweet, with a phenomenal range rarely heard in pop music.

This multi-award winner has headlined coast to coast, from the House of Blues in Hollywood to the legendary Bitter End in NYC. She has shared the stage with such notables as B.B. King, Albert Lee, the Doobie Brothers, Joan Osborne, Crosby, Stills and Nash among many others.
